32/64 bit quanadary

I have an AMD 64 X2 3800+ with 32 bit Win XP Media Center Editiion installed. I downloaded Vista 64 and burned the ISO, but when I attempted to install from the ISO DVD I got an error message that it was not a System 32, so nothing happens. What's a guy to do?

Boot up your system with the DVD inserted and make sure the DVD-drive has a higher boot priority than your harddisk (BIOS setting). Press a key during boot to start the setup. Starting the Vista setup from a 32-bit OS will give you the forementioned error.
